Parasol Computational Resources

Overview

Computing in the Parasol laboratory is primarily based on Unix-based operating system such as Linux and Mac OS X. We have some 40 or so desktops, a half dozen servers and two ROCKS clusters, almost all of which are running CentOS 5.x.

We also support undergraduate and graduate instruction for our faculty members. Many students will use the systems each semester for classes such as CPSC 311, CPSC 605, CPSC 614, CPSC 620, CPSC 626, CPSC 654 and CPSC 659.
